Bishop Manoj Charan takes over the charge of the Diocese of Amritsar, Church of North India AMRITSAR, MARCH 3: Bishop Manoj Charan, Bishop of Bombay Diocese, Church of North India (CNI), has taken over the charge of the Diocese of Amritsar (DOA), CNI. As per provisions in the CNI Constitution, when a bishopric falls vacant, the total care and charge of the diocese devolves upon the Moderator. He has the right to appoint either a priest from the diocese as his commissary, or a Bishop as his episcopal commissary.
